The Administrative Services Division of the police department is responsible for the management and coordination of planning, budgeting, purchasing, personnel, training, accreditation, internal affairs, fleet services, records maintenance, computer and technology services, and facilities maintenance.
The goal of the North Kingstown Police Department Operations Division is to serve and protect the life and property of the citizens of the Town of North Kingstown as well as the countless visitors to the town during the year. The Operations Division is the most important part of the department as they are the first responder to calls for service.
The North Kingstown Police Department’s Investigation Division is a 9 member Division comprised of a Commanding Officer, holding the rank of Detective Lieutenant, a Detective Sergeant, five Detectives, a School Resource Officer and 2 Secretaries.
The Prosecution Bureau prepares court cases for the Attorney General in all felony crimes and any related misdemeanors brought by the North Kingstown Police Department.
Youth Services Bureau
The Youth Services Bureau consists of the Juvenile Detective, one School Resource Officer.
The Records Division oversees multiple records for the Police Department.
The North Kingstown Animal Control Division is an arm of the Operations Division assisting patrol officers with all complaints involving domestic and wildlife animals.
Wickford Harbor contains several full-service marinas, shopping, and a quaint New England atmosphere.There are currently four transient moorings located inside Wickford Harbor.
