Additional areas and topics of cultural and historical significance will continue to be included and involved throughout the 350th Anniversary events within North Kingstown, including topics and events about the Narragansett Indian Tribe, descendants of the aboriginal people of the State of Rhode Island and a Federally Recognized Tribe of the Federal Government; North Kingstown’s role in slavery in the Colonial Era; and the historical importance of Quonset Point and the Seabees, the U.S. Navy’s construction battalion; the Narragansett Rune Stone, and more.
