Sex Offenders

The North Kingstown Police is responsible for monitoring sex offenders that reside in the town. Information is updated as soon as our department is made aware.

In an effort to conduct address verifications and combat noncompliance with sex offender registration laws, the North Kingstown Police Department has joined forces with the United States Marshals Service Sex Offender Task Force, commonly referred to as the SOLEMN Task Force (Sex Offender Law Enforcement Multi-disciplinary Network).  SOLEMN combines all disciplines involved with sex offender management, including law enforcement, prosecutors, Probation and Parole Officers and Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) personnel to more effectively manage registered sex offenders in our community.

United States Marshals Service funding continues to be used to support operations that assist in performing sex offender investigations including address verification operations.

The Rhode Island Sex Offender Registry (R.I.S.O.R.) is managed by the Rhode Island State Police. The registry provides assistance to all municipal police departments in Rhode Island as well as out-of-state agencies. Tips on sex offenders in Rhode Island can be reported via phone (401) 444-1296 or email RISOR@risp.gov.
