Wickford Advisory Committee

Overview

The committee is charged with advising the council on preparing, managing growth and change in Wickford while protecting the quality of life and historic character of the village.  To assist in the enhancement of the relationship between the village and harbor, and to identify physical and other needs of Wickford.  

Charge from Town Council

The Wickford Advisory Committee shall be guided by the Wickford Plan to: 

(1) Advise the council on anticipating, preparing for, and managing growth and change in Wickford while protecting the quality of life and historic character of the village.

(2) Assist in the enhancement of the relationship between Wickford village and to the harbor.

(3) Identify physical and other needs of Wickford including amenities, wayfinding, marketing, infrastructure, traffic and pedestrian circulation, open space, parking, and alternative modes of transportation.

(4) Provide a public forum to address the daily needs of village residents, businesses, and customers.

(5) Work with residential, business, and other groups to help preserve and enhance Wickford's economic vitality.

(6) Recommend creative economic development approaches supported by the Wickford residential and business communities.
